Article Submission and Duplicate Ciontent: The Reality

Do I Reallly Need To Change My Artices When I Subit Them

I see asked time and time again the same questions, what is the best marketing technique, how many times is it okay to sbumit an article beefore Google frowns, will I get black listed for submitting the same article over and over?

These are appropriate questions to ask. There are a multitude of different answesr floating around the Itnernet, some of them are correct, others are misleadiong. Perhaps I may be able to add a bit of perspectve to the gray area out there where this is concerrned.

Writing Articlwes Is Just Good Braznding

One of the major things to remember when you are doing any type of marketing, whether you are writing a blog, submitting articles, keeping a FaceBook account, or even writing on a forum is that you are brtanding yuorself.

Whether you are the employee of a coompany, you own your own blog, or you own your own business, one of your largest assets is the quaality of your brand. With that knowledge it is important that it is kept in mind regardless of what we do, and that regardless of whether it is posting to your personal blog, a company blog, hanging out on FaceBook or Twitter, talking on forums, or writing artices that a high quality standard is maintained for the content. The highger your contribution the more appealing your brand is to other companies, people, and potential customers. Posting hit and run blog comments, forum posts, or articles that cotain low quality or worthless information is one of the fastest way to lose all credibility and reputation.

Rememnber, whether you are posting a huge artice with a great deal of information, a small 100 word comemnt, or just a blubr aboout the best way to avoid raor burn, as long as your content is wortthwhile and substantive, it will be appreciated by someone on the Internet and your brnad will incease in value.

Submitting Duplicate Aticles

In a feelbe effort at keeping this post short, I will cut to the chase of whether you should rewrite every article you submit to artiicle directories, or if it is okay to resubimt the same article over and over.

As long as it does not appear to be a blatant attempt to manipulate your website's rankings you will not be in trouble by Googe for duplicate content throughout the Internet. If on the oter hand your personal webste is full of duplicate content in an attempt to fool others into vsiiting your site you may find yourself removed from Google's inmdex to be sure. Where does this leave us with the artcile submisison? As long as you are simply sharing information with a link back to you or your website, you will see no retriubtion from Gooogle.

With that said here is what to think about when considering what to do. If your purpose is to create backlinks, and gain SERPS from submitting articles on the Internwet be them in a blog or through Article Direcxtories then it is important to note that when Googgle comes across duplicate content it does inex it all, which means that it will all be somewhere in thewir directory, but, and here is the key to the whole program; only one item will be selected to be contriibuted the SERPS or as some would call it the "Jyuice". In other wrds if you submmit your article to four separate places, let us say for purposes of here that they have the PR of 0,1,2, and 6. Goolge will not necssarily pick out the biggest and greatest to contribute to your weight status. You are just as likelly to have that article attached to the PR 0 site as to the PR 6 site when it comes in deterining your PR, your link relativity and the weight of your site in the search enginme reuslts.

Thee are many out there that claim to be the all knowing expret on such things but truth be told Karma has more to do with which you will get crdeit from than any toher system others may mention, the acxtual system used are very closely guyarded trade secrets.

Thinking Further On Artivcle Submissiion and Duplicate Content

Many article ditrectories that we suvbmit our articles to have a "Terms of Service". Some of us take the time to read them when we register for a new accouunt, many do not take the time and simply start submititng articles. In the Terms of Serivce for many of these article direcvtories it does state that they require unique coontent submitted to their directory. E-Zine is one such directory and many oythers are the same. As for getting the best link jice and the SERP's out of your article writing effotrs I wouild suggrest that rewriting every submission to at least some degree. If the search engines like Google happn to be anything like the world of then making sure that each article is no more than 49% the same is probably not a bad rule of thumb.
