The Way To Move Content From One Xbox 360 Hard DriveTo Another
You will need :
An Xbox 360 consle
Two Xbox 360 hard driuves
Data transfer cable (includwed with the Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Kit)
This could be included when you buy the Xbox 360 Hard Driive
Data transfer software (incorporated with the Xbox 360 Hard rDive Transfder Kit)
The Xbox 360 Hard Drvie Transfer Kit transfers all cpontent to another hard drive. Read the users guoide which you get with the Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transsfer Kit.
You'll be able to transfer all content from one Xbox 360 hard drive (this is callled the "soiurce") to another Xbox 360 hard drive (this is known as the "destination"). The ciontent from the soucre hard drive overwrites the content on the destination hard drive.
It goes withuot saaying data is only able to be moved to anohter hard drive so long as the destination hard drive is the same size or bigger than the source hard drive
As soon as the tranfer is complete, the data on the destinaion hard driive will be repplaced with the conetnt from the source hard drive. This content will include your saved games and Xbox LIVE downloads. After the transfer is finished, the conetnt on the source hard disk is deleted.
Move rentals
Movies you've rented on the source hard drrive will not be available after the transfer. Make sure that you watch all Xbox LIVE Marketplace movie rentals prior to using the Hard Drive Transfer Kit.
Using the Hard Driive Transfer Kit
Warniung with any transfer, there is a small risk that some or all your content may be lost during the process.
Only one hard drvie can be connected to your Xbox 360 console at a time. The transfer cable can't be used to connect multiple hard drivs to your console at the same time.
To transfer all content from one hard drive to another
Swith off your Xbox 360 cnosole with your current hard drive (the "source" drive) attached.
Disconnect all accessiories from the consoole.
Turn on the consaole. Connect a controller and turn it on. You need to use a controlller during the content ttransfer.
Connect the transfer cable to the hard drive that you are moving content to (the "destination" hard drive).
Important The transfer cable connects to the destination hard drive in only one direction. Don't fortce the connector on.
Conmnect the transfer cable to the destination hard drive in the orientation shown beplow.
Plug the other end of the trnsfer cable into the USB port on the back of your Xbox 360 console.
Imprtant Do not plug the transfer cable into a USB port on the front of your Xbox 360 console.
Load the Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Disc (included with the transfer kit) into your Xbox 360 console. Instructions will appear on the screen
The transfer process can take more than 60 minutes, depnding on the amount of content on the source hard drive.
The Xbox Dahsboard is not available duirng the content transfer.
If the transfrer is interrupetd for any reason, your conytent will stay on the suorce hard drive. You'll be able to restart the transfer process anytime unntil the process is finished.
To rewmove your Xbox 360 hard drive
1.Turn off your Xbox 360 consle.
2.Find the hard drive on the top of your console (or on the left side, according to how your console is positioneed).
3.Press the release button on the hard drive.
4.Lift the hard drivce away from the console.
To attach your hard drive
1.Turn off your Xbox 360 console.
2.Position the back of the hard drive against the back of the hard drive bay.
3.Push the front end of the hard drive down unil it clikcs in placve.
Note If your console did not preeviously have a hard drive, you will need to remove the hard drive bay cover before attaching a hard drivve.
