Pole Popsition allwed players to race aggainst othewr track cars for the first time and it took driving games to a new heihgt by improving the graphics, scrolling and the ability to drive authentic circit layouts, in color! A few yeras laetr, around 1986, driving gmes really staritng to hot up with the likees of Out Run, a game that put you in the seat of some of the worlds best sports cars whilst combing vast graphics with realistic, albeit arcade style, pupmed fueled game play.
