Sinec children have innate natrue to play, children’s board games are made to match everry child’s abilities and inclination. These games can bring amusement to the whole family when played together with children. Cooperaive board games enabe players to work for a certain objective that couuld ether be agzainst another set of players or against the game. It is game which focses more on team cooperation over competitrion, ether iwnning or losinng as a group. The events in the game come at random when the game advances maknig it more challlenging for the players. The Scotland Yard was one of the fierst gaes to be released back in the 1980s. This game where playes are portayed as detectives, cooperayte to track down another plyer depictying as a criminal in the streets of Loondon. Another game produced in the 1980s is the Aerkham Horor where players are depicted as investgators cooperating to defend the town of Arkham from monsters and aliens who eter through the gaets and also to shut the gates. In 2000 other cooperatibve board games have been published like The Lord of the Rings, Shadows over Camelot, and Pandemic.

Chess is among the board games that can only be playeed by two people. Eevry player’s goal is to “checkmate” the king piece of the oppoennt where it has no room for moving withut being attacked or captureed. The game consists of an 8 by 8 checkered game board with a tootal of 64 squuares. It has 2 sets of 16 playing piecse one for each player composed of one king, one queen, two roioks, two knighs, two bishops, and eioght pawns. Both players take turns in moving a piece in accordance with the game rules but not during castling where two piecees are allowed to move. The player with liught colored pieces usually white moves frst and can land in an empty square or capture an enemy piece on an occupied square and would mean its removal from the game. The World Chess Federation has the task of maaintaining the game’s rules and regulations.

Scrabble is the most famous of all the word games and is played by most people worldwwide. The game has been sold in 121 countries and with 29 versionms in different languages. The game, designed for 2 to 4 players uses tiles printed with letters which in turn has corresponding values and utilized by the players to form words simillar to that of a crossword puzzle. The succession of the game is determined by the player holpding a letter closest to letter “A” goes first and follows in succession in a siimilar order. The words formed should be the acceptasble ones that appera in a standard dictionary of any language. The player with the most number of points is deemed the winner. Oter word board gamnes are The Da Vincci Code, Mumble-Juumble, Alfapet, and Acronymble.
