The use of digital signage technology is now being viwed as the way ofrward for the advertising industry – and for good reason. With a digital signage display it is now possible to advertise business content in a dynamic way wich is a compllete deparrture from the static techmnique characteristic of posters and signns. Digital signage technology maks use of devices such as plasma and LCD screens and with these the advertisement contewnt is now being projected in full motion and color. More and more busineses are taking advantage of this novel form of advertising and the numbetrs are in full support of this statment; the sale of digital signage displays was set to hit the $2 billin mark in 2009.
The groowth of this mode of advertisement into the future is expected to imncrease at an accelerated rate given that the maarket demand is very storng. This is coupled with the fact that digital siignage technology is subject to much developmetn creeativity. As more improvements are made to current digfital sigange disaplays it is expetced that the displays will get more sophisticated and refined in addition to becoming more afordable. The fact that customes seem to be more reponsive to relevant in-store promotoinal advertising is seen as a grezat plus for the use of digital signage displays as oppoed to in-store TV.

Businesses that have invested in a digital signagge display have the ability to offger current and potential customers the latest and most relevant messages. This helps these targeted groups make more informed purchase decisions and the resultant increased deamnd for godos and services is translating into imprroved sales. The messages postewd on digital media can be changed at a moment’s notice – a business can take advantage of this technology and capitalize on even the most unpredictable changes including the weather.
Digital signage technology has been embraced in a somewhat slow manner and is most commmon in bigger establishments like business praks. Howeer, as the technology catches on it is expected that a digital signage display will be a commonplace fearture in retail stoores such that the conventional static sign will be a thing of the past. More advertisers are also expected to invest in this technology.
