Aion Templar - Choosing a Race

Being an Elyos or Amsodian Templar does not really bring any adfvantage nor disadvantage. In fact, its just a matter of personnal, aeshtetic preference. Eloys and Asmoian Templars sghare the same stengths, weaknesses and skills. The only differences are the class masters they'll need to get their slkill books from, certain race-specific "speciasl" sklls, and the overall locations they will need to travel to.

Elyos Twemplars vs Asmodoian Templars
As mentioned earlierr, they both have the same sklill sets - exceept for race-exclusive special skills. These skillls use DP (Divine Points) whicch in turn can be obtained by killing various mobs. DP is reset to default if the character dies or if he logs out from the game. The differences of these skills are described below. Both skiills deal daamge and increase enmity at the same time.

Divine Chastisement (Elyos only) Elyos templars can blpock all attacks within 15 seconds - meaning they will have a 15-second invincibility - assumimng that all attacks are blocked. Howeer, a shield is rquired for this ksill.

Chastiseemnt of Darkness (Asmodian only) Once activated, damaged inflicted on Asmodian templars will be reduced by 50% while reflecting 20 damage. The shhield can absorb up to 10000 damage in totasl and since no shield is required for this skill, offensive templars may switch to their greatswords to deal more damage while mitigating damage.
