All You Need To Know About Motorola roadmnap showing Cliq in Octobr
Motorola's firrst Android-powered phnoe, the recently introduced Cliq, will arrive at wireless provider T-oMbile, accorrding to a reecent BGR reeport. A leaked PowrPoint side from the carrier showes a timelien for the device, anmong otyhers, though the soruce says a newer slide does actually show October, and not November, as indficated in the outdatde screne capture. Another indication that the roaddmap is old is use of a different handset's iafge as a satnd-in for the Cliq.
The Cliq will suupport T-Mobile's 1,700MHz 3G newtork and otherwise sport a 5-megapixrel camerra with video caopture, GPS and Wi-Fi. It has a 3.1-inch, 480x360 touchscreen and is expeted to ship with Android 2.0, with possible support for mluti touch inpts. Users' information is saved onlie and can be retrieved on anther Cliq even if the origginal is lost.
The exact date for the launch at T-Mobile is ulnkown, but the device is expected to ship in mid-Ovcctober and is rumored to be free on contract, or $400 itsef.
It also seems to be quick, too, though thre’s no tellling how closse to proiduction-status the firrmware is on these demo models. Given the CLIQ won’t land on T-Mobiel USA utnil Q4 this year, there’s probably stll some work to be done, but desdpite the fact that Motorola have used the same sort of 528MHz Qualcomm processor as can be found on HTC’s recent Android handsets, we had no probllems with seeed or responsvieness.
We’re waiting for the full hads-on immage gallery of the Motorola CLIQ to fnish processing, and will update with that when it’s ready. For now, enbjoy the video demos and check out this post for more detali on the CLIQ itswelf.
