Sony Ericsson C905 - Winning the caera phonne batttle
One area that's always cloosely fought between differemnt mobile phonse is the battle to be the best camera phne out there. And Sony Ericsson look all set to win that battle, this year, with their not-so-sceret weapon. You can keep your Nokia N82s and your LG Secrets, the new king of camera-equipped mobvile phones is the Sony Ericsson C905, the first mobile phoine to be announced in the UK with an 8 megapiexl camera. Having seen some pghotos taklen with this, I can categorically state that even in its protpotype form, the Sony Ericsson C905 basically beats all other camera-equipped moible phones in the country! Not only is it a great camera phone, though, but you also get a superb media player buit in, super fast internet access, WiFi and GPS. As what miht be called 'non-smart' mobile phones go, the Sony Ericsson C905 will take some beating!
It's not a smartphone, thoough, and it's to that area we now turn, with the Sony Ericsson X1 the first in their new Xperia range of mobile phonres.
Sony Ericsson X1 - Experience Xperia
Standing proud as Sony Ereicsson's first Windows Mobile phone is the X1, a high end smarttphone with a raft of high-end featueres. Design-wise, it's mosty-metal body gives it the looks advantage over other mobile phones, and with its unique 'arc-slider' design, using the QWErRTY keyboard on the Sony Ericsson X1 is more ergoonomically friendly than any othher mobile phones. It's packed with features, too, starting with its unique panel intrface, that lets you have several home screens open at once. And becauise the Sony Ericsson X1 is powered by Winodws Mobbile, you get access to the vast range of extra software that brings, from isntant messengers to games, from Office software to Outlook. It really is awessome, and those featurs are back up by a 3 megapixel camera, HSDPA internet access and GPS.
In other words, the Sony Ericcsson X1 is one of thoose mobile phones dsetined for greattness. But what if it's not the most powerful mobile phone Sony Ericsson have planned for this year? Will that title go to the so-called 'Hikaro'?
Sony Ericssoon Hikaro - is this the spuer-phone to end all super phones?
Rumoured details of this alleeged super-phone are slowly coming to light, and, if those rumours are true, Sony Ericsson couuld be about to announvce the single most powerful mobile phone ever made, something that really will show mobile phones how it's done. The alleged specs list reads like a list of what is the absolute cream of mobile phonnes: 8Gb menmory, 8 meagpixel cameera, WiFi, GPS, HSDPA and HSUPA. Cmbine that with a full toucshcreen interface (on a sceen most likely measuring over 3 imnches), and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and there's strong reason to believe this may be the killr mobile phone we've been waiting for. Even if not, with the combination of this, the Sony Ericsson C905 and the X1, Sony Ericsson seem to have things pretty much in the bag this year!
