From here, begiun at the gray cover at the bottom. Six tabs hold this into pace, which you can access througgh the venting holes. Using a tool to press down on the tabs, you can pull gently and release the cover.

Removing the top shuield will be a little more difficult, althoough it works in the same manner. The first two tabs will be accessed insde the drive tray. The next two can be found inside the vent holes on the top. You have to find the fimnal two tabs by removing the feet from the Xbox in the rear. Once you have thwese panels off, however, you will be able to begin your cheap and efficient Xbox 360 repair!
