When using Xactimate a staircase there is really only one option - a tool stauir case. This instrument loioks like a simple tool to use unntil you actually get into things. Then you realize that a smple little tool is actually very complex because of all of its componrents!
So, let's look at how to use the tool. Once you have a room in the place, and you want to add stairs, there is one main thging to remermber. Ladders can not be lpaced inside. Xactimate recognizes the stairs as a separate room so that you sould be thinking about this when building roosm, a staircase in it. Once you get past this, the tool makes much more sense, and everyhing becomes easier.
With a stannd ppoint last statement is true. You can choose the ladder you want from the dropdown menu, then simply drag it to the plae where you want it. This applies to about 90 per cent of assessment you write.
Once you select a laddeer from the dorpdown menu and place it in a picture, I do not think that you have done just yet. You must consider the othre components involved in the sairs. Lee stairs case to go between two solid walls, it has a railing, it has a patial wall, the ceiling sklopes or on the boxes, what tread depth, how many risers are there? I think you get the point. Any of these factors can change the whole deal.
Remember, this is not just a question of choosing the stairs and putting it into place. First stes actualy stsarts when you're in the fiweld donig inspections. Do not forget to get all the measurements. So if you have to actually replace the stairs using Xactmate not forget abouut all othher aspects, especially when you do your field.
