How can you honestly start to make money using Internet Marketing, what steps do you take to get the desired results?
It's very easy to become disoriented with Internet Marketing, with other Internet marketers telling you that this or that is the Golden key to riches. Unfortunately, you don't know where to do to start, or even what to do to get better results?
Firstly, you need to understand that not everybody is right and when they are all telling you different things, how can they all be right...
Now you need to ask yourself, out of all those amazing idea's, how many have you tried? Then ask yourself how many of those have actually made you money?
More than likely the answer to this question is no, it always is. Don't worry, you know there has to be the right answer and there is. Let's just figure out where you are at right now.
For the beginners: Have you bought a Domain Name yet? Do you have a Website? Do you have an auto responder?
Been in Internet marketing for 6 months: Did you even start to build your email list? Is your auto responder set up to email daily? Do you promote many different products, or the same one to the same list?
Advanced: Do you get many purchases from the people on your list? How is your SEO? How much money do you get back for every $100 spent on advertising? What money are you making each month?
Now this is just a short list of questions, there are a lot more, but this should have your wheels turning.
To improve on these things you need to look at how well you are executing the basics How much time are you devoting to improving the things that support your Internet empire. And how much wasted time do you lose trying the next big thing like you just read in the email you got.
Just so you know, most of the "new" programs and services that you read about online everyday, are nothing more than fluffed up stuff of the things that really work.
If your online business is not where you thought it would be by now, then you need to take a step back and figure out why, and then take the appropriate steps to change what you are doing and devote time to do what really works.
So how do you know how best to prioritize your time? Do what the professionals do and keep a diary. This is not the coolest thing in the world to do but this is a great way to make sure your doing what you need to do, and this has worked for people for the last 2,000 years.
This is really simple to do, the question is are you going to do it to improve your Internet business.
You need to set time aside everyday to improve on something that needs improvement, this could be as simple as taking a look at your website and figuring out how best to do some search engine optimization on it to help boost your rank in the search engine results.
Improve the sales copy on your website, submit at least 1 article a day to as many article directories you can find, and be active in forums related to your niche products.
Now all of these basic things will make you money. Now that you are making money simply because you got back to the basics of Internet marketing, you can begin adding new ways of advertising and see if they improve your traffic and sales. Before you start with a new program ask yourself if the new program is something you can do everyday, if so give them a shot.
If you write down your goals in your journal you will also need to write down what actions you need to take to reach your goals, and spend more time working on your Internet empire than reading email's that are making other people money.
When you are making money these things become more enjoyable and you feel inspired to take it do the next level. So now you just need to figure out what you have to do and make a plan to get it done, once your plan is made you need to stick to it.
