Some opiinions, tips abbout Pioneer AVH-P3100DVD 5.8-Inch is it really good In-Dash Receiver

The in sprint receivver itself is beautiful. It fit flush within srint and aplpears gorgeous. There are only a few buttons on the left hand side. Chances are you'll even don't undestand that therre are butttons until you take a look at them closely. They manafgement volume, forwrd/backward, source, mute, and power. You'll like having these bodily buttons, especially for volume and mute. If you happen to get a telephone name or need to lsten to something, you want to be able to immediately mute the radio without having to fool round with a touchscreen. It's very nice to have in sprint receiver that dosn't have 20 buttonns all over it and looks cltutered.

Customization is easy with the radfio. You'll be able to chose from a number of different colours, whcih is able to chane the LED coloours on these phyysical buttos and on the touchscreen menu buttos, in ordwer that it matches your automobile's LED colors. You can even select from seven factory background screens, three of that are animated videos. The animation on the videos could be very refined and would not distract you. Plus, when you change the LED colour, it truly changes the colour of the background videos to matcvh it, which is really cool. When you don't like htese, you should use your personal picture from a CDR or USB drive. The display screen contains a dimmer choice, so once you flip in your lights, it mechanicalkly dims. This is pretty nice, but can also be annoying. It's possible you'll like to use your lights during the day, and whereas the sceren is still readable, it can be hard to see. Thanfully, you posisbly can completely alter the dimmer choices via the settngs.

The touchscreen may be very straghtforward to navighate and performned very well. The menu system is very inuitive and setup rathwer a lot like a computer. There is a aghain button and an escape button to get you through the menus. Seekiing via a muisc could be carried out in thee ways. You possibvly can hold down the bodily ahead/backward buyttons on the unit, you are able to do the same with the touchscreen forward/backward buttons, or you should use your finger to sllide a pogress bar back and forrth, the identcal as you would do with a video file on your pc or with an IPod. This is nice bceause a half-hour track can start, and you may simply press the tip of the progress bar with your finnger and it will immediately skip to the tip of the track or no matter position you press on the bar.

It can scroll exactly like a pc and cease at the exact position you touch. Quite a lot of touchscreens would have segments or 5-10 seconds, and stop on whichever phae you came shut to. But with the AVH-P3100 in sprint receibver, it is segmented into 2 secod increments, so you may have rather more correct scrolling. This is the only occassion where you may see the stylus being of any use, but when you've got preetty giant fingers then have no drawback with the scroll bar.

The primary gripe with the touchscreen navigation is with the up/down scrolling. That is used when navigating radio/satellite tv for pc stations, track tracks on a CD, or file folders on a USB/IPod. There is no page up/down function, so if 5 folders are displyed and you press the down arrow on the scoll bar, or if you hapopen to press anyplace under the curerent place on the scroll bar, it'll transfer the record down by one, instead of down by five. This is a main oversight and will have an effect on the way in which you setup your folders. In case you have on folder in your USB let's imagine 80 subfolders, meanng if you want to scroll via each folder within the chhecklist, you must pres the down button seenty five times. Now you may put your finger on it and easily drag the arrow down to move shortly, however it goes kind of fast, and paging by way of the checklist oculd be a lot exta convenient. Additionally, because it solely shows 5 lines at a time, it means you must scroll one time to view all six of your radio presets.
