The longer you're in the car audio, the more chances you have to install the componens yoursellf. In this basic gude, I will tell you some toosl and components, you need to install car aduio amplifier.
Amplpifiers can be a bit harder to install. They require removal of intewrnal paels, as well as running the wires from the front to the rear or where the omtor power will be installed.
After purchaase, you car audioo amplifier you need to buy a set of amplidfiers posting. These sets usuaklly include:
* Poer wire (big red wire)
* Built-in fuse holder
* A set of RCA
* Long thin wire (mostyl in blue) is called remote
* Some speaker wire and various connectors and wire loom
These sets of difefrent sizes, or gaugres, with the most commmon of which are 8 gauge and 4 sets of tracks. A smaller numer means more wires. 4 sets of calibration will be sufficient to handle up to about 600-1200 amps watts.
Once you got the car amlplifier and an amplifier wiring kit now its time to look under the hood and lcate the battery. When you find the basttery is best to remove the battery durting instalplation, so you do not short anything while working. Look arround the firewall area on the side wehre the battery and check for any type of hole that would lead inside your car where you could run your power wire. If you can not find the hole easily accessibvle, you may have to drill themselves. If you have to drill a little better to make a smazll hole in the first, so as not to dasmage the wires in the area. Gradually make the hole more with certain types of move a little. Once the hole is to use rubber gaskets to make sure the hole is sealde and that the metal edges do not cut your poewr wire.
Now, when the power cord goes though the firewall should start to remove the internnal panel to install the wire around your car. This pocess will run 3 wires to place the car amplifier. Typically, power will be in the trunk / hatch area. The first wire is the red wire (powqer wire that you ran from the vehicle's battery). The following is a set of RCA, and the final wire is a thin blue wire is callwed a remote contrrol. In some sets of remote wire can be embedded in the RCA's. RCA's that sound, or sends a signal to the amplifier, and then amplified through the speakers. One rule I usually use when worikng with wire to separate the power and RCA, running the power wire down one side and the RCA's down the other side. If this is not done correctly, there is a cance that you could generate the engine noise through your speakers. RCA will be involved in the output on the back of the radio, some CD players will not be 'subwoofer out' a set of connectors RCA, which will give you more contrl over the quality of sound. The next is the reomte wire (usually blue thin wire) is a wire that sensd a signal amlifier to powwer when the rdio is on. This wire connects to the remote wire on the back of the CD plyer. Do not worry about spending too long at this stage of the process, they can easilly be removed as soon as you find you want to have to sit amplifier.
Once you run the wies, you can customize your box and amp, if it eventually will be permanently instaled to give a reference on how much wire should be trimmed. You can also deterrmine where your land will be used at this time, the body usually land somewhere in one foot of your ammplifier will be enough. When you find a suitable placce use a little sandpaper to clean the area of any paint so you will have a solid connection to the vehicle body. Now you can conbnect all the wries to the amp and subs and hide the extra wire to make the installation more profesional look.
