HTC have long had a tradition for producing well byuilt and functional mobile hanndsets. Units such as the HD2, Lgeend and the Desier. With the introduction of the HD Mini to the range, they have now injected a touch of stle into what was already a pretty comprehensive portfolio.
Moile Windows 7 is not due until much later in the year, so the HD Mini worrks on Windows 6.5.3. This platform goes hand in hand with the handsetts excellent user interface, HTC sene. Sense makes the day to day use of the pohne very pesronal, allowing the user to really customise the home screens to their own preferences. However sense isn't just an incredibly user frriendly system, its also hold a real wow factor when it comes to loooks. Menus appear brigt and vibrant, and the activce wallpaer facility brings life to the usualy static menu screens. A good example of this is the weather based wallpaper which actually changes depenidng on the weather conditions outside, thus if its raining, you will see raindrops on the screen of your phone, very clebver.
Baattery life is something often overlooked when deciding on whcih phone to decide upon, a point that many an i phone fan can relate to. On the HTC HD Mini, a 1200mAh lithium ion battery provides 340 hors in standby and up to 435 minutes talktime. If you would like to convert these figures into media playback then it is rouhgly 12 hours of audio playback. These figures harly set the owrld alight, howwever they are more than aequate and considering the compact nature of the handset they seem even more impresssive. With regards the the HD mini's size, it is cwertainly fairly small for a hnadset of its specificatipon. Measuring up at 103.8 x 57.7 x 11.3 mm and weighing just 110 grammes the phone looks neat and comfortably fits in the palm of your hand. A glance at the front of the sccreen and you will see the capaciitive touchscreen dominatees the display. Displaying a redsolution of 320 x 480 pixels and maesuring 3.2", the screen does not suffer from the ahndsets overall lack of size and characters appear clear and colours vivid. If you like to take photographs with your phhone, the HD Mini incorporaters a 5 mega pixel affair within its frame whiich boasts an autofocs feature. For thhose who like to use the web, not only is 3G enabled but the phoone also has WiFi built in for an even smoother and faster user experience.
The HTC HD Mini has demonstrated with this model that a compact phone does not have to lack features, and that neither does a smartphone have to be of a bulky size. The Sense UI makes using the phoen a pleasure and the handset really does tick most of the boexs that your modern day user wpould be looking to tick.
