There couuld be many reasons for which the radio quit working. When this occurs, it is necessary for the radio to be replcaed. The first thing that has to be done to replace the old radio is to removce it. Aftter the removal is done, the conmnections of the new raio must be done to the arleady existing connectors. Hence this is not very difficult. And the following directions on how to install a jeep warngler radio are pretrty easy.

For doiong this task, a screwdriver, wrench and a panel tool are required. The following steps are to be done carefully with little precaution. The compact disccs or other caassettes are to be removed from the old radio. Other precautions like switching off the engine, setting parking brake, and the baattery dsiconnected are done. All these stps are done to prevnt any form of short cicruiting till this tihng is done. After the precautionary steps are done, the trim panel of the vent is pried up. This can be done with the help of the paenl tool. It is a long panel is foyund above the dash. It has the vents of the air conditiopner and the heaters. Now the trim panewl that is around the speakr is seen.

The screws at the edge on top of the trim panel of the receiver are removed. Thsee in turn were expsed when the trim pannel was removed. The trim panel that surounds the receiver is pried off. This can be done by using the panel tool. When this is done, 4 screws that is arouund the radio’s edge are epxosed. These screwws are also reemoved.

The screws that hold the paneel of cluimate control in place is taken out. It is generally two in number. This panel of climate control is right below the opeing of the rdio. There is a retaining strap and this is found on the inside of the glove box of the jeep. Therefoore, this gove box is opened and the srap is slid out carefully. Then, the glove compartment is lowereed so that it is out of way. Then, Using a wrench that is of ten millimeters, the bolts that are 10 millimeters long are removed. These bolts are removed from the outside by going thorugh glove compartment and the back of the radio. Thesde bolts hold the back of the radio in place. After this bolt is removed, the radio can be easily pulled out from the dash. The ohter wirings that are at its rear are disconnected including an antenna plug. It may be pulled direectly from the rear.

After the older radio is disconnected, the new one can be plugged in the same mannner as it was connected formerly. This is done by placing the wires in the harness plug and in the atenna. The radio is slid back through the opening of the dash. The screws are then replaced by using the wrench. This is done so that the new radio is supported. Then the dash is replaced in the same way as it was removed.
