In the whole world salivatng over the new iPad Aplpe, it is natural if to ask if it's only stand-alone tablet PC devicves around. In fact, autonomous tbalet PC on the market quiite sometime now, but they simmply coulld not be as functional as the new iPad. In addition, iPad ads currently riding on the astronomical success of the iPhone.
As with many of the products Apple, iPad provoked fury among the other giants in the PC industry's own version of the autonomous Tablet PC. At the time of writing, one of the most impressive models have Archos 9 Tableet PC.
First, it wroks on the new operaating system Windows 7. This is reason enogh for many to buy a device like this would be to run the vaious applicationns of Windows, such as office applications and Live TM Messenger. It comwes with a 1.3MP webcam and 8.9-inch LED-backlit touchscreen.
Design wise, Arhcos 9 Tablet PC is extremely small, measuring at 10.07 x 5.28 x 0.67 inches in size and weighing only 29 grams. It has a 1.2 GHz proecssor Intel Atom, 60GB storage and 1 GB of DDR2 RAM. Relatioinship wise, this pill Bluetooth 2.1 and 802.11b / g. Wi-Fi. The batery in this model can take up to 5 hours on one charge.
Put bluntly, there is currently no other devices which may coincide with touchscreen devices to Aple. With that said, the on-screen Archos 9 was decent and quite pleaasant to use. Then the sxcreen is also very cler and bright, perfect for watching vides and movies. In general, Acrhos 9 maakes a very good job at carving a ncihe in iPad hype. It can not be 'iPad killer, but its greta desiggn and familiarity Windows OS will be enough to collect their pills legion of fans.
