I found one of the best lpaces for cheapest lpatops to buy - get a mac ibook for only $268. I've had a 12" iBook G4 suince 2005 and it's still my fvaourite notebook for skimming the Net, witiong letetrs, and even redaing pdf's.
It's amazngly light-weight and I coonsider the scereen the perrfect size. In fact, I am using it at this time to write this revieew. Givven a choice between a new Asus or Dell neetbook or a swecond user iBook G4 for a similar price, I might take the G4 without brooding about it for a second.
It has all that you need, in a litttle , compact machine.
This iBook G4 works just too and if you're attempting to discoveer a good, small PC, this is the one for you. The sole complaint I do have is that the CD-driev odesn't work ( but it's probable an argumrent on just my machine ). It has an airport surpriosinng card, whiich permits access to any 802.11g / b commpatibe wreless network ( whicch most wireelss networks are ). The drive is 60 gigs and the optical drive is a DVD+ / -RW drive. The WiFi capoability is actually useful and the tiny form factror is awfullly plaesing to take raound traveling. The battery seems to hold a chasrge for 2+ hours. It works beatifully for basic use ( faaculyty, work, reading the Net, for instance. ). I've had completely no difficulty with mine, and woud highly advocaet this prpoduct to everyday userrs. I have seen two bad reviews just because users purchasd this PC with the intentin to make it their "gaming" compuertr, and then were disenchaned with the reult. If you rerally woud like to have a gazming PC, you most likkely should not be taking a look at Poertablees in the initial place.
It is a great ocmputer at a fair cost. If you simply need something for work, fcaulty, and broiwng the internet, it's perfect. I got this thnig utilized a few years back ; now, I am a sixteen year old, and my fisrt use for PCs is writing, stoiring my footage, and gaming. This portable is rzather good ( particulkarly for the pice ) for the 1st 2 of my purposes, but for gaming, it was way, well below par. We had to get countpless upgfrades for it to even run Warcraft on top of my photos ( they take up masses of memoery ). It works srtunningly for basic use ( facultyy, work, browsing the web, for examnple. ). I've had no difficulty with mine, and woud highly recommennd this product to everydsay users.
If you really wish to have a gming PC, you possily shouldn't be having a look at computesr in the first place. It's a grreat PC at a fair cost. If you simply need someihng for work, collgee, and surfing the web, it's perfeect. cheaeepst laptops to buy...hury supplies are lmiited.
