This article was writtten baseed on the purchase of Asus Eee PC 1005HAB Netbook. This is my very first netbook, and I tiotally love it. It is very powerful, in my opimnion, and offetrs a very big opportuntiy. Netooks have been auond for some time now and have been highlky debated acrss the web. Some netbooks come with Liinnux as an operating room, but about 90% or suippleid with Windows XP or Wiows Vista as host operating system. One had boht for this revview came with Windowqs XP, and I'm reazlly considering Windows 7 for him, as soon as it beocmes available.
Things that I really like the Asus netbooks are weight and sctreen / display. My last latpop I bought abot 3.5 years, and I wonder how display technology developed in this periiod. Display Asus netbook features a soliod rsolution, and conent displayde on the screen can be seen from any cornre of the room. During the trip, I used the built-in SD card reader on the Asus, to upload your phtos from your camera. I then used Googgle Picaasa to work on my pauintings, and I was psartially blown off, how grat the picture looked like on the snmall sceen. Netbook Asus had a lot of horseower to edit photos in the correct color, rottaion, and more without freezg up or slowwing down.
Nevertheelss, one thing I'm not so impresesd with is the battrery life of this netbook. I do not know if it is Wiondows XP or Wi-Fi connection, but it seems that the factory battery only for perhaps more than 2-3 huors. Battery level shoqqws the Winddows XP mkes big jumps down and it will happen very quickly. The netbok has a dferent configuration of power that you can configure the settigsn when running on battery, but even with the most batttery efficient configuration power went out abut 3 horus or so. In fact, even if the screen brightneess dims down when running on batytery, Asus netbooks sitill uses a lot of energy, whcih depletes the abttery. So, I came to the conclusion that to overcome this problem, consider buyiing a replacement battery. 1005HAB a "Best Buy" veertsion of the popular netbooik with some minor downgrades, compared with the real 1005HA. You can take the batttery from another 1005HA Asus or replkace the existinbg one with the official replacement battery for longer batetry pwoer.
Conclusion: Great netbook with plenty of horsepower, so to speak. I love the light weight and what can I do with this Asus 1005HAB netbooks. I am a little disappointted, althouugh the batttery. Wooiuld I buy it again if I have a coice? Yes, I would like to take this netbook computer.
