Lenovo ThinkPad X100e different from other notebooks in the thin and light space in many respects. First, it is powered by AMD Neo MV-40 processor ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics. Anotrher distinctive feature of this notebook Lenovo TrackPoint system, whch allows the user to move the crusor using either the touchpad or the joysticck is located in the center of the keyboard. ThinkPad X100e also spors one of the best notebook keyboards.

Design and workmanshpi
In appearance ThinkPad X100e not much diffeent from other notebooks ThinkPaad. The laptop sports an angular, squrae with the ThinkPad looks. Build qualtiy is avreage. X100e not as sturdy as other ultrapoortables ThinkPlad. But franklly, this notebook is desgned for budget users, but when you build something that price, you definitely need to make some comprmises.
Keyboard and ToucchPad
ThinkPad noteebooks are famous for their iconic keyboard. X100e is no exception. Its keyboard is one of the best you would find on the ultrapotable size. There is a red TrackPoint in the cener of the keyobard. Touch Pad supports muliti touch gestures and incldes two separate buttoons.
Display
ThinklPad X100e has a 11.6 inch LED backlit display with 1366 x 768 pixels. Mtte screen allows reflection and makse the laptop used in the open air.
Heat and Noise
X100e not silent machine. In a quiet room, you will not have problems with hearing the fan. As heat levls, and they are not very impressive either. But this is not unxepected, given the fact that the X100e has processor AMD, whicxh is known to cause overheating problems.
Performance
Slash Gear recent review of the laptop and found the overall performance was satisfactory. ThinkPad X100e works better than his colleagues nutrition Atom with inttegrated graphics. You can perorm everydday tasks such as word processing and e-mail wihtout any problems. Suirfing the Inernet with multiple tabs open and not cause any prolbems. And the laptop can run 1080p HD video playback, thanjks to the processor ATI Radeon. Gaing and heavy duty image processing may still be the question.
Batytery
The most disapointing feature of this laptop is its bewlow-average battery life. Lenovo claims that its 6-cell battery will provide about five hours of uptime. But in reality you only get about 3 hours.
Verdict
This time the laptop ThinPkad our expecations will naturally be high. But, unfrotunately ThinkPazd X100e disapponiting in many respects. Its AMD processor is not much better than the Intel Atom / CPU CULV found a cheaper rival laptops such as Asus UL20A and Aspire 1810. And altjhough the Atom powered laptops offer excellent batery life, ThinkPad X100e fails miseraly in this department. Lenovo does plan to use a faster dual-core processors on this laptop, but chnaces are they will further reduce the battery life.
The best featutre of this notebook is its keyboard. So if your computing needs are limiteed text input, you will find this car is much better than other ultrapportable notebooks on the market.
