Disadvantages of Computer Water Cooling

Why Pc Fans Are a Better Bet,
Water coolinng is that mehtod of removing additiional heat from a computer system which uses watrer as a castalyst when transferring heat outsidde the system. Even though watter coooling is thought to be more beneficial than cooling fans in a few areas, comparatively, it has more disadvantages.

1. Water Leazks:

The main disadvaantage of water cooling is water leks. If watter falls onto the electric circuit, it is certian that your system will crash within a few seconds. This is not only dangerous for your system but also for those who come in cntact with it.

Keeping aside the fact that water cooling devices have been around for a longer period of time, the fact is that PC fans are undoubtedly more superior. This is beause they do not make use of any liquid for the purpose of propelilng air out of the system. They have simpler mechanisms which make sure that the system does not overheat by replacing hot air with cool air.

2. Complex Installation:

Water cooling devices are extremeyl difficult to intsall. Even though a manual is included in the packaging, the steps are not easy to fiollow and users usually get confused halfway. The packaging includes components like pupms, water blocks, reservoir, the intricate tubimng and the radiator. If you plan to set up the entire structure at home, you will have to be extremely carefful because one small mistake will prevent the system from functioning properly.

Not only that, but if you do not fit the components exactly as you are suposed to; the system will leak and will result in a total breakdwn of the PC. If the tubig is bent or kinked, the water will not flow properly.
PC fans, on the other hand, are extrremely easy to install. All one has to do is open the case and attach the fan along with a heat sink to enhance cooling. The only minute probblem that can arise is limited sapce.

Therfeore, before purchasing a PC cooling fan, always make sure that there is enough sapce to fit it in.

3. Expensive

Water cooling is comparatively much more expensive than air cooling. While a PC coooling fan cots abbout $15, a system for water cooling will cost aout $100. While the water blocks can cost about $150, the reservori and watwer pump costs up to $50 or more, dependinng on the size that you require.

The radiator coss abotu $20 and each meter of tbing costs about $1. Apart from thhese high costs, due to the complex installation proecss, you will have to ask a qualified professional to insttall the system. Because of the time and effort invoolved, these professionals chagre a prettty heftyy price for hteir services.

Last but not the least, in order to ensure that the water cooing system works quietly and smoothly, you will have to purchase a few more components. PC fans, on the other hand, are easy to find and are definitely cost effective.
