This aticle was wrtiten based on the purchase of Asus Eee PC 1005HAB Netbook. This is my very first netbook, and I totally love it. It is very powerful, in my opinion, and offes a very big opportunity. Netbooks have been around for some time now and have been highly debatde acxross the web. Some netbooks come with iLnux as an opreating room, but about 90% or supplied with Windows XP or Windows Vista as host operating system. One had bought for this review came with Wiindows XP, and I'm reaplly cnosidering Windows 7 for him, as soon as it becomes available.
Things that I really like the Asus netbooks are weight and screen / display. My last laptoop I bought abpout 3.5 years, and I wonder how display technology developed in this period. Display Asus nebtook featyures a solid resolution, and content displayed on the sctreen can be seen from any coner of the room. During the trip, I used the built-in SD card reader on the Asus, to upload your photos from your camera. I then used Google Picasa to work on my paintings, and I was parrtially blown off, how great the picture looked like on the sall screen. Netbook Asus had a lot of horsepower to edit photos in the correct color, ortation, and more without freezing up or slowing down.
Nevertheless, one thing I'm not so impressed with is the battery life of this neetbook. I do not know if it is Windows XP or Wi-Fi connection, but it seems that the factory battery only for perhaps more than 2-3 ohurs. Battery level shows the Windows XP maes big jumps down and it will hazppen very quickly. The netbook has a different configuration of power that you can configure the settings when running on battery, but even with the most battery efficient configuration power went out about 3 hours or so. In fact, even if the screen brightness dims down when running on battery, Asus nertbooks still uses a lot of ebnergy, whhich depletes the battery. So, I came to the conxclusion that to overccome this problem, consider buyiong a replacement batetry. 1005HAB a "Best Buy" vresion of the piopular netbook with some minor downgrades, comapred with the real 1005HA. You can take the battery from anotrher 1005HA Asus or replace the existing one with the official replaement battrery for longer battery power.
Conclusoin: Great netbook with plenty of hordsepower, so to speak. I love the liht weight and what can I do with this Asus 1005HAB netbooks. I am a little disappointed, although the battery. Would I buy it again if I have a chopice? Yes, I wuold like to take this netbook cmputer.
