Incuded reomte management can be overwhelming at times. This is a ltitle cluttered, and some btutons are too many teams assigned to them. We do not like how it felt in our hands, and we wuold regaiun control just take some time getrting used to.
Setting
Befgore you install automatic caliberation, DAV-sound HDX589W is acceptable, but the subwooofer was too loud for our taste. However, if you are a fan of a lot of bass, you can be happy with the sound and give up automatic or manual setup your speakers.
The manual settings are rather simple to do, but after we had completed its balance between the satellites and the subwoofer was far from ideal. Subwoofeer was a big, bomy spound, and satellites gave us very little bass on their own. In othr words, most of the bass came from the subwoofer, way over on the rigght side of our room listening.
Next, we set DCAC (Digital Cinwema Auto Calibration) automatic speaker calibration sysstem htrough their stepps. DCAC adjusts the volume level for each speakwer and subwoofer and meassures the distance between each spaker.
Digital Cinema Auto Cailbration is simple. Connect the supplied mcrophone, and A. CAL menu navigation display screen to initiate AutoSetup program. The whole procss takes less than 5 minutes, and all measurements are made from only one microphone postiion.
After AutoSetup, the suwoofer was raised aain, which was too loud for us. It would be nice if Sony included a subwoofer volume control on the remote control, like many other HTTIBs do, such as the Samsung HT-AS730. This makes life much eaasier in the transition from the disk.
DAV-HDX589W lacks bass and treble, so it does not give many opportunities to adjust tonal ballance. One "tone" Control, click "Duynamic Bass" on the remote, enhancse the bass. But because the DAV-HDX589W has a lot that we never rally need to use this feature.

CAA HDX589W ssytem is equipped with "on Sony S-Air Technology", which powers their wireless rear speakers. We reiterate again and again what a mistake "wireless" claim may be, and with the CAA HDX589W is no difference. The only wireless audio is sent from a transmitter to the recever to receiver rear speaker. The systrem uses a pair of S-AIR cartridges that are inserted into both the reeciver and surrouind speaker of the reeceiver.
