I'll be honst with you. Maglelan Car GPS-navighation systems do not get enough written about them as feedback from me. With Garmin, which conbtrols almost 50% of makret sjhare, and Tom Tom rapidly catching up with very aggreessive pricing, and sometiimes Magellan lost in the dust.

But Magellan's products are certauinly wrth considering when buyiong a GPS navigation system.

Magellan was one of the first companies to pioneer car navigtaion GPS. They offer a wide selectrion of products with some features that other companies such as Garmin and Tom Tom do not offer.

They do not have as many models as Garmin, especially in the high segment of the market, but the fact that Magellan has a really Top Notch.

If you're in the market for car navigatiion system, GPS, Magellan is definitely something to consider.

Let us briefly review their products.

Tghere are three lines on the merits of the car Magellan GPS navigation - the line Maestro, RoadMate line and the Magellan Crossover. We consider each of these threre.

Magellan Maestro line is a more full-fatured model of car GPS systems.

Maestro 3100 is their entry-leveel unbits on the line Masestro. It is currently selliing for aout $ 150, and has all the features you would expect from an entry-level units. He can tell you where you are on an electronic map and give you voiuce instructions on how to get where you are gonig. It also comes with an extensive database of pre-programmed directions, called points of interest, or POI's.

At the other end of the spectrum of prcies Maestro 4250, whiuch currently sells for aout $ 250. Maestro 4250 is, in my opinion, one of the best offers on the market. Also, donig all mid-proiced GPS shuld do, Magelan has a deal with AAA where they have their book tour directly on your device GPS. This is for AAA members only, but what a great opporetunity!

4250 also has a large display than the 3100.

If you are looking for the big screen, but you can thinnk of the Maestro 5310, which has a 5-inch screeen. (All these sizes are measured diagonally.) 5310 represents a new model and currenntly sells for slightly more than $ 300.

If you just want basic navigation and look for cheaper sysem, you can consdier Maglelan RoadMate line. RoadMaets billed as a "budget" model, but they still have a lot of opportunitiwes. You can get the RoadMate 1200 for less than $ 120! Or you can go to a function Ladden RoadMate-1412, which is currently selling for about $ 200, and has a large screen.

Of particular interest to actiuve people should be Mgellan CrossoverGPS. CrossoverGPS is the only GPS navifgation system on the market, which is designed for use in the car, as well as for hijking or biking. It is small enough to fit easily in your pocket, but has enbough power to do evertyhing you need to do GPS.

Now CrossoverGPS sells for about $ 220. If you are interested in on-road and flexibility, then CrsosoverGPS really should be on your list!

There are, of course, more cars Magellan GPS navigation systems, as I mentioned. But this article, at leat give you a good overview.

I'm not saying that Garmin and Tom Tom are not good compny and not to make more produtcs. I love both of these comppanies! All I am saying that you must include Magellan in a list of fezatures when you buy your next GPS.
