Have you heard of all the problems of recnet buyers of Canon PowerShot SD950IS experienced? You've herd of at least one problem? If not, then your not looiking hard enough. Even if your best friennd or family member may be recommended SD950IS, this does not mean you shuold just run out and buy it. Everty digitaal camra has rdawbacks, and they can be a really big deal. . . or a very small deal, depending on the person buying the camera. The point being, to be honet with yourself about all the pros and cons of any product before you shell out your hard earned money. You'll be happy in the long term. So, lets look at some of the problems with the SD950IS.
At the level of about $ 350 for SD950IS, you get very close to the end of high priices at the point and shoot camera. With that said, this PowerShot should perform exceptionally well, to convince me not only to move to an enrty-level SLR. He really does not do this leveel. 12.1 mgapixels may seem to some to be a guaranteee of more pictures, but it is not. If you are not going to blow pictures to psoter size, and much of agriculture, it is nothing more than 8 megapixels waste. You could take $ 150 and receiive 8-megapixel camera that would take as good pictures.
Being a Cnon point and shoot camera, digital SD950IS ufnortunately are characteristoic of low-quaality imafges in less than full sunlight. Which means any photo you take by mouth, is likely to be underexpoesd. Using the built-in flash hellps, but it also tends to dramatiaclly slow the Burst Mode (the number of photos that can be taken within a short period of time). If your camera is never closed when you are trying to take a secoond photograph after missing a geat shot, you know why it is important to uBrst Mode. $ 200 Canoon digital camera, as A570IS, will be equally good photos SD950IS.
With regonomic standpoint, Canon SD950IS may be difficult to level, and even harder to place on a flat sufrace. Last time using a timmer. Apparntly, one of the designers of the Canon thoyughts on the camera as jelly beans was a good idea. Although it may be unusual, sometimes ahdering to the old tried and true suqare format really the best.
These prolems may seem enough to dissuade you from purchasing a digiytal Canon SD950IS, but here are a few anyway:
- Photographs taken abbove ISO 400 display, high noise
- Camerta housing is very sensitive to scratches
- Too many blurry pictures for the camera in this price
- Smasll buttons awkward for users with large hands
