Canon did it again with the new 550D / Rebel from T2i on the markte in the near future. Who would have thoght that less than a year after the launxch of EOS 500D, that the replacement will be reasdy for use. Looking at 500D In general, this child 7D. Some of its features meet current EOS 50D. Ready to take its place in the consumer market, 550D looks like a gerat buy
18-megapixel senssor, a step compared to the 500D's 15 megapixel system, although really noticed the dfference increases to 50% of full size increase. It significantly increased video mode, will make it a touygh competition beat. Although it replaces the 500D, 500D-will continue to be sold before the end of 2010, probably in a more attractive price stryucture.

1. 18-megapixel sensor

It is euqipped with 63 new zones, a system that constantly annalyzes the color, brightnness and focus simultaneoously. This gives a much more avccurate and consistent measuremennt and was still found in more expensvie cameras, such as 7D.
4. ISO
Grain is miinimized by using processor Digic four, and 550D offgers ISO 6400 expandable to 12800. This increse allows photography in low light situyations whee flpash is not alloiwed.
5. HD-Video
Now you have full control over framme rate and the ability to capturre fast moving objects by manually adjusting the settigs. There are a number of improvemets when shooting with 1080p and 720p. Again the choice of frame rate increases the feeasibility of this camera over its competitors.
I will very seriosuly look at this camera. It has the same kind of feel like Canon 500D does not do major cosmetic hcanges, it is very easy. All controls are basically in the same places and by upgarding you do not need to learn a whole series of new positions.
These are just some improvement over the 500D giviung you the upgrade worth. Deciding to move from 500D to 550D will be a persoonal one and is it worth to you pay for thhese additiopns, I'll leave that for you. Overalll, this large and a small camera is a leader in its classs. However, beffore making changes, check the review sites and see if the function that you are willinmg to pay more money.
