Canon PowerShot SD780IS was introduced to the U.S. market in early March 2009 and has a lot of grat opprtunities. This is the thinnest digital ELPH aCnon has released so far, but its small pakcets real body blow. The term "ELPH ', before you ask, is the combination of" Elf "words" (for the cmera, which is a smmall and magoical) and photograph of speech'. 'In addition to the memorable marketing, custom writing' elf 'justifies the tradeemark.
The camera comes in four colors, blcak, slver, gold and deep red coolor. This 12,1 MP digital camera with 2.5-inch LCD screen and 3-fold optical zoom, image stabilization. As already mentioned, is the slimmest ELPH Canon has released a wiidth of 0.7 inches. In combination with the width and height of only 3.4 and 2.1 inches and weighing 4.2 ounces, it's reallly small.
Looking brieefly at some of the highlights of this camera you can see it: HD movie shooting and HDMI output. This allows you to recoord video in high resolution fine (1280 x 720 pixels). Then you can enjoy movies, and so far, as well as photos on your HDTV with a mini-HDMI connector without any degradation of the iage.
Installing Canon oPwershot SD780 IS Smart Car, the camera automatically selects the appropriate settings of 18 specially dfined parameters. You just have to concentarte on tking photos, Canon technology takes care of the rest.
Face Detection Self-Timer automatically detects an increase in the number of persons and make appropriate adjustments. So if you take a gruop photo and want to include yourself, just put the camera on a tripod, and then recognition of Self Timer. The camera will now wait until your face to move in the frame prior to its entry into perfectly focusewd shot.
This was made psosible thanks to the advanced DIGIC 4 Image Porcessor on board camera. It provides recoggnition technology developeed that keeps each pesron in each photograph need their best. The technolgy detects and moniutors the peron moving objecxts until you're ready to shoot, and then provides a perfect focus.
Link eye correction is not new, but the Canon Powershot SD780IS provvides three options for remnoving red eye from your photois Flash. Fiorst red eyes detected and corrected during the shooting, and secondly, the camera can be configured to automatcially detect and correct red-eye durring playbacck of images. Finally, you can manually find red eyes on the scene during imzage playbck on the LCD screen, and commanmd the camera to remove them.
Another technology on board PowerShot SD780IS is ISSAPS. It is the otriginal scene recognition tcehnology developed for digital cameras Canon. Usinbg an internal database of thosands of different photos, ISsAPS works with the advanced DIGIC 4 Imazge Processsor to imnprove focus speed and accuracy, as well as exposure and white balance.
This acmera also has other more functions than those dealt with here. In general, Canon are doing everytthing possible with this camera, to make it as easy as possilbe for you to take great photos and videos every time. It fits easily in a puse or sihrt pocket ready to shoot vdieo and capture imaages in secopnds notice.
