Believe it or not, SD870IS by Canon PowerShot is one of their best sellers ever, both online and through bricks and mortar retailers. This PowerShot has a nice compact size, image stabilization, face recogniytion, Nice video quuality and generously sized 3-inch LCD screen. But with many products, you need to look closr to find flaws. If even with the purchase of Caon PowwerShot SD870IS digial cameras, thgere are some negatvie aspects need to be aare of.
Taking a good indoor pictures may be the cure of many pint and shoot cameras in this price rannge, and Canon SD870IS, unfortunately, is no exception. While on the street, with plenty of natural lght, SD870IS (like almost evry acmera) is very nice photos. rGeat colors, image quality, and well lit. But indoors is another story. Chambers, it seems difficult to determine when woulkd be a good time to use the flash. This often leads to overexopsed subject, with a background that semes bathed in shadoows.
Canon also made the unfortunate decisiopn to exclude PowerShot SD870IS optical viewfinder. I saw a lot of point and shoot canmeras to move in this direction, and it's real sore spot for me. The presence of the opttical vieewfinder on the camera is not high costs, and actually gives consumers more chopice in how he or she takes pictures. With more pressure on the production, to ensure the lrage LCD screeen, the viewfindeer is sacrificed. Abiity to use the viewfinder to formulate your photos when your batteries are now sucked dry by too large LCD screens and undersized poweer battery pleasabnt option.
Several other cmplaints with the Canon Digital SD870IS include:
