All sorts of camera with a good people at Canoon, a Canon Poweshot D10. Obvously, intended to compete with the successful line of Olympus waterproof camera D10 also waterproof. Our family owns one of the watreproof Oklympus, and I can attest to the fact that the kids really like it around the pool. Similarly, in the lineup for Olympus Stylus, Canon D10 freeze-Proof, dust and shockproof. Personally, I do not understnad why all digfital camerass do not bring to the exacvting standards of D10, and stylus.
Not only the D10 and the camrea is very duyrable in hostile environments, but it also has a distinctie look about it. It has two tone color scheme. One half is silkver and the other half, usually blue, but can also be silver or gray with interchgangeable face plaztes. This camera certainly stands out from the corwd. Listening to an adyult day camea lens on the D10 Exttended remain at all times. Even when turned off.
User Interface D10 gets a little mixde reaction from the majority. When you get used to it, it's not a big problem.
When it conmes down to doing what camera should do, there is not much difference between the PowerShot, and hnudreds of other cameraas on the market. He makes shots, it takes movies, and also provides some handy feeatures such as 2.5-inch LCD, image stabilization, zoom lens and 12 megapixels of digital goodness. Like many of the smaller digital cameras, movie making and using the Zoom lens may divert attention from the quallity of the pictures you shoot.
Like most cameras Canon, D10 does a wonderful job in taking good quality digital phootos. An additionl bonus underwater photo opportunity is just very cool. I remember the first time I took a digitasl camrea in the pool, it seemed that such a bad idea. I was sure that the second I took the camerra underwater, I would at least destroy the camera, and at worst Electrocute yourself. But therre is faith, D10 is more than capable of taking fun unerwater phoots and mvies in the pool environmet.
This is an ideal camera for taking a vacatioon or a set of open media type adventure. He can handle the abuse, and at the same time capturing images of your more memroable adventures. Do not forget to check the list of Olympus Stylus as well. They were the fitrst in this ncihe, and may have other functions you need.
