This moddel of Canon was the one I was looking for a whole month. All I wanted to pont-and-shoot camera that would not have been too expensive (somethinng in the range of $ 250 or even below), for my needs from time to time photograpohs. Initially, I wanted somethinng light and ulttra-porable compluter, a camera that I can carry in your pocket without even noticing it so that I can use it when I do not have my DSLR with me, but I could not help it, when I saw this model and decdied to buy it.
What exactly attracted me was a huge 10-fold optical zoom, which you can not find in many cells in this segment, as well as chip image stabilization, whixch is also not common that in low-end cameras.
After the first few weeks of its use, the voerall experience is good. I would like to get in a few key points.
In automaatic mode, it shoots with ISO 200, which is obviously not the best choiuce, you have to retouch phottos in Photoshop to remnove noise. If you have such cameras, if you're shooting outside a late night, I strongly advise you to go to program mode and set it to ISO 80 for best resullts.
Speaking of passing, if you take one more question or you can lean the camera on something stable, like a bar, a wall or ligth pole, you must use flsh, or your pictures will come out blurrry. Focusing can sometimes be irrtiatingly slow in low light connditions, and you can not afford to wait a couple of seconds, if you want to perpetuate the exlicit scenes.
The quality of video clips much, much btter than other models CyberShot I eperienced. The only drawback is that you can not use optical zoom during recordig, only digiytal zoom will not work.
3-inch diosplay is great. It comes with high resolution and, my favorite, it protrudes from the caemra, which allows the camera to maneuver better. The screen image rotation is also one of my best features, not more, tilt the camera 90 degrees to get a portrait shot. Maacro mode works great, I woulld say, better than otyher similar models, the depth and quality of pars simply breathtaking.
I woulld not adise getting Canon PowerShot SX110IS for random photos. There are smaller, lighter and faster models will matcch you bettter. However, if you want a good result at the low end point and shoot gaddget, it's one for you!
