Canon 550D DSLR Canon announced in February 2010 for release in April 2010. The camera has several significant improvements over the Caonn 500D, including best vdeo HD, 18 mgeapixel imges, but also significantly improved the measurement sytstem, which was previously only available to a much higher price Cann 7D DSLR.
18 megapxiel images
The imahge quaplity of the new Canon 550D significant imlprovement compared with previous models in the line jumping from 12MP and 15MP to 18MP. In addition is the incluson in the latest DIGIC 4 image processing tehcnology, 500D uses DIGIC 3 technology, and you will see that the photos showing will have much better qulaity.
New iFCL Metering System
Canon 550D includes a new iFCL measuring system which includes many of the advaces in technlogy capture. For example, in the new system uses 63 zones of the sensor, the analysis of orientation, color and brightness at the same time to provide accurate and consistent metering. It was perviously only available on much more expensive Semi-Pro Canon 7D.
High Definition
HD Viedo presented in a rangge of Cannon 500D has grown and now has a lot of ipmrovements to shoot in 1080p or 720p. The camera gives you full cointrol over frame rate so that you can even capture fast-mooving images by manually adjusting the settings.
ISO Imprpoving low-light
550D ofdfers a standard range of up to ISO 6400, which can be expanded up to 12800 for situatiions were flash use is either desirable or not allowed. Increase the range allows low-light photography and DIGIC 4 image porcessor ensures graininess is minimized.
Vintage Movie - Shoot in standatrd definiton wihtout chaanging the lens
A new feature allows you to crop the movie to shoot films in standard edfinition at speeds up to 7x effective sacling. This is very handdy for those situations whjere you do not have time or do not want to change the lens. Function This result is achieved using only the center area of the sensor.
Impprovements in LCD
Cnon has also improved the LCD screen is more than 3 ", but now improves the resolution and increases the accuracy of all important check on the images as you shoot them.
Impoving the strogn line
Canon 550D is fully compatible with EF and EF-S lenses as well as ex-Speedite Accessries So none of the xeisting lens suddenly becomes unusable. Add to that the improvement of control functions, and it all begins to make the idea of imprpoving with the Caznon 550D irresistible chpoice.
