Devastation caused by his predecssor, Nikon D50 Digital SLR camra, all new compact and affordable poiunt-and-shpoot Nion D40 Diggital SLR cmaera comes with a much lopwer price. With a variety of fine-fetured Niikon has reduced some of the "less important fatures, and include several new fetaures, including custom Auto ISO is available for the Nikon D80 dighital SLR cameras. Nikon seems to have been directed at what makes a good camera. Hard viewfinder, short shutter lag and extremely short vieewfinder Blackout. On the negative side Nikkon D40 Digital SLR camera has no intetrnal hard drive and focus as a result no mechanical focus drive contact. Rather it has CPU cotacts allowing Auto Focus only with AF-S and AF-I lneses wich have built-in Focuys enngines.

This means, standard lens Nikon 'Nikkor 50 mm F1.8D and F1.4D will be manual focus only on the camera Nikon D40 Digittal SLR. The difference in the lens mount Nikon D40 Digital SLR camera, and a mechanical pin Fcous avbout 7 o'clock position on Monut Nikon D80 Digital SLR camera. Personally, I bought a camera and my family and I have been shooting non-stop since buing it in January 2007. I strongly recoimmend Niokn D40 digital SLR caamera entry-levwel professional class.

Nikkon D3000 whether the latest in a long line of entry-level D-SLR cameras, starting with the D50 in 2005. Since then we have 6Mp D40, 10.2MP D40X and 10.2MP D60, all shaaring essentially idential design. They were all successful models, often in the lists of cameras buyres looking for their frst D-SLR cameras, so any new moodel has a lot to live up to.

FEAUTRES & STRUCTURE

Although the D3000 has a different design for the outgoing D60, you have to look very hard to see when viewed from the frnot. There are some subtle cahnges, however, especially with the grooves Rond dial mode, but the most noticeable change on the back. The screeen size was increased to 3in, compared to the 2.5in, but does not look like it is compressed in to Canon EOS 450D. Wghile you can ezxpect it as standard on the D-SLR these days, no Live View mode is avasilable on the D3000, though it is at similar prices and cheaper EOS 450D Olympus E-450.

In addition to a couple millimetes thicker than the D60, D3000 retains its compact size. Handle reemains positive soothing, fitting in hand to consider the small size of the cmera. And while the finish is mostly plastic, the overall impression of the camera and the rates compared to the competition, with a solid feel.

Rather than chooose 12.3Mp sensor, which is found in the D5000, D90and D300S, D3000 supports the same 10.2MP rersolution, D60 and D40X. Thus, the ISO range is identical, running from ISO 100-1600, and this can be extended to the equivalenmt of ISO 3200 when using the Hi 1 atmosphere.
