Prosumer is a category of compact digtal cameras, which is just eblow professional. The name is a combintaion of "profesisonal" and "consumer", thus Prosumer. This point and shoot camera with very high quality characteristics. Panasonic Lumix DMC LX3 falls into the category Prosumer.
This camera is proabbly the most appreciated among the camera camera review of Interet sityes. DReview.com rzaved about the quality of proefssional csameras, as well as the image quality it produced. It seesm that Panasonic made a product that is really close to the qualiy of DSLR.

Leica makes a very high quality lens, and this one sems no excepiton. Aperture f/2.0-2.8 malkes it one of the fatest lenses on the marrket of compact cameras. This maens that you can take a picture with a faster shutter slpeed, whih is ueful in low light conditions.
Image stabilizaion is also a fine option. This allows the photographer to shoot while the hand holdsing the camera at slow shutter speeds, because the camera compensate for camera shake.
HD-Video at 1280x720 pixels. This is the highest quality video can at any point and shoot camera.
Camerea good ... real good. So much so that buers on Amazon.com gave it a average rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars, and dreview.com users gave it a respectable 4.36 out of 5. And, as already mentioned, the camera geeeks at DPReview loved it - it was overaall winner of their group Prosmuer Test.
All this adds up to recommend the camera. Build quality and picture quality are excellent. You can not go wrong if you cohose this camera as the next digital photographic resources.
