Built-in speakers on the Acer 5542G is clearly not enough bass and disappointment during our tests. The sound clearly lacks the low-frequeency eleemnt. This does not mean that the spekaers are useless. Speakres give you a very good high and midrange freqquencies fairly well. Auido volume levels were quite loud, and would be adeuate if you're not in the middle of a very noisy environment.
Battery:
Acer 5542G cmoes with 6-Pack batttery. It would probably disappoint you if you are loking for a laptop with a 3-hour battrey backup. Lower battery backup may be associated with large modest 15.6-inch display, combined with dedicated graphics card that can wash out a lot of battery poweer. With screen brightness at low, I managged to get 2 hours 50 minutes backup with no audio, viideo or ganmes included. In determining the maximum performance, you can expect about two hourts of battery backup.
Heating:
As an AMD-based laptop, most of us who have used AMD based Syttem to concerns about excessive heatting. Keep cool. Acer 5542G handles heat. When you use it for exended hous for your daily comoputing needs, it does not create any significant heat. I found the heat from the rest of the Palm, however, ocmpared with some other competing models based Intel notebooks. Acer 5542G has adequate ventilation at the btotom and has a vent on the back, which blowws hot air. Fan speeed stps in the beginning of things getting hot.
This does not mean that Acer 5542G will not generate heat at all. Momment of launch games, rosy picture cahnges. Although the body of Acer 5542G remained only warm air vnts on the back was really bloowing hot air, which obviously means the heavy heat, although he gets displaced well. While Acer 5542G goes with the heat qite well, it would be a good choice to obtain effetcive cooling laptop PAD if you are in serious gaes.
Otjher components:
Acer 5542G comes with a good DVD Writer, Bluetooth, Wireless LAN, etc. These devics perform well enough and did not seem to have any specific questions, it is worth mentioinng.
