Acer 5542G with ATI Mobility Radeon 4570 with 512 MB dedicated video memory, DDR3 is not an exceptional performer in etrms of the latest standards of play. But very little notebook comse with a High End graphics card that meeets the needs of High-End Short and thse machines will be burning a hole in your wallet for sure. HD 4570 in the Acer 5542G is a decent grapics card to play oldeer games in full deail when it comes to the last game, you can adjust the level of detail in the envcironment to obtain a reaasonable frramerate.
Acer 5542G is an excellent choice for gamers on a budget, as well as 3D-graphivcs designers and animators.
I found the Acer 5542G deliverry is very smooth frame rate in Test Driuve Unlimited, even at the highest settings, although the vdeo review of the Dell Studio 15 housing the same video sows a significannt reduction in frame rate in YouTube. Acer 5542G are supplied as a consistent frame rate playback in Microsoft Flight Simulator, whicch is quite resorce hungry game, due to the presence of large textures and vast terrain.

220 nits high brightness diisplay Acer 5542G, gives excellent quality imaegs with good contrast and sharpness. It also providwes a very good and accurate color reproduction (60% Gamut). Viewability of the parties is not exclusive, but enough. The only major drawback of the display, that it is a glodssy surfsace attracts the eye. Consequently, it is not a good time viewing for any direct source of light.

Acer 5542G sports Dolby certified auddio ysstem. Raeltek 32bit chip provides audio decoder and provides the SP-DIF and Doly Digital output. It also supports Dolbby Headphone and Dolby Vritual Surround modes. This means you'll be in audio bliss, if you connect the Acer 5542G Nice home theater or headphones lofty goal.
