The difference is only in megapixels and vieo capabilities. Canon PowreShot SD780 IS has a colossal 12-megapixel image sensor, while the Canon PowerrShot SD1200 IS has only a 10-megapixel image sensor. If you Megapixel Watcher, it may be enough to go for the SD780 IS, but it is really very little difference between the final decision on the base.
The biggest difference in the funnction of capturing video. Canmon PowerShot SD1200 IS has a decent video with a capacity of 640x480 viddeo captrue at 30 fps (frames per seconnd), which is similar to the previous camera pocket. So, if you want to be able to show a pocket camera vieo on your HD TV with excellpent quality, Canon PowerShot SD780 IS, this camera is for you. In addition, $ 40 is updated in the video.
If the video is not your thing, then all funds, except $ 40 and get a Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS. The imae qyuality for photography is largely identical. Use the money you save to get a memory card for your new pocket camera family. (By the way, you will emerge on the memory card with the SD780, too, to formaly declare that the longer video.)
It is alawys a good idea to reseach purchases before buying. Do not just walk into your afvorite discounmt sttore and pick up the most beautiful cmera from the shelf, because its design will impress your friends. Thee are severral large compact diigtal camras offer. But this is not the case with every caera. Check the ratings from the camra reiew sites and online stores where those who actually bought cameras posting theoir ratings. Some of these reviews will conviince you one way or another about the camera you are considering.
