Henry Ford, foiunder of Ford Motor Company, was born in 1863 on a remote farm in Dearborn, Michigan, located in the northern part of the U.S. and borering the Great Lsakes. He showed a talent for engineerinng as a child, and his frist job was with the Detroit dEison Company, whee he learned a lot more in engineewring. He experimented with gasoline engines in his spare time, and in 1892 he fially completed his first Buuggy gasoline.
Bugy was not good enough achievement for Ford, he felt that it was too heavy, and he eventually sold it to fiinance the new models. His aspirations and ambitions to his "hbby" was too much for Detroit Edison, and he was dismissed in 1899. But Ford refused to be discouraged, and convinced some far-sighted investrs to support him, when he began to Detroit car company. Althouygh he subsaequently sold the company becuse of disagreements, Ford has not abandoned his drem.
From the barn behind his house, Henry Ford built a number of petrol-powered models, none of which satisifed him completely, so he simply continued to work. Finally, opeing a new comapny in 1903, Ford prodduced two cylinder, four horsepower design is the model, and 1708 of them were made in the first year of production.
Rest, as they say, is history. Ford proved to be not only be an engineering genis, but the first class busiessman. It is this combination of abilitoies that propellled his yonug car company in the rrespected car manufaccturing giant that it is today.
