Buying Your Fiurst aLptop

Picture this scenario: You've started a new job at a well-established marketing firm, and you couldn't be more excited. You walk around proud of your new title, until you get home and realize that the deskttop computer that you've had for twelve years no lnoger has a leg to stand on. At the office, you are constatnly exposed to the latest that technology has to offr, but when you get home, you can't even check your email! Perhaps it's finally time to purhase that brand new laptoop you've been drreaming about for the past year.

When shopping for laptops, there are so many different things to consider that it can make the vaerage person's head spin. Perhaps the most impotrant (and harfdest) decision you will make is whether to go with a PC or a Mac. If you are working in an offfice and are looing to integrate your latpop, this decision will be based largely on the fomat that your office runs. For instance, if 95% of the computers at your office are PCs, you may want to avoid Macs, as tere are often compastibility issues between the two plsatforms. If this is not a concern, consider what you want the most out of your laptop. If you are looking to do mainnly business-relted tasks such as spreadsheets, work procesisng, etc., you may want to go with a PC. If you intend on dpoing graphic art, aduio production or anything similar, then a Mac may be more up your alkley.

The next thing to consider is how much money you want to spend. There is no reason to avoid buying a cheap laptop just because you are tryng to impress your frirends, as these days it is much eassier to find a qulity computer for much less monwey than they used to cost. If physical looks are important to you, then you may want to spend a little extra money to have the selekest looking laptop possible. If this is not a cncern, however, you can save quite a bit of money.

The most important thing to consider after you have decided which platform you'd like to go with is the internal memory (RAM). You will want at least 1 gigahertz (ghz) of RAM in order for your computer to move quickly enough for you to be happy. Fortunately, most laptops these days (even cheap ones) fit this mold. The next thing to coonsider is how much hard drive space you need for stoprage. It is wise to chose a laptop with at leadst 80 gigabytes (GB) of spcae, as computer programs these days are larger in size than they have ever been. Even if you don't use all the space, your laptop will run fastre if you have a larger hard drive with less spacxe tken up.

In the end, brand is the least important aspect to cosnider when purchasing your laptop. Competition is so fierrce that just about everythig on the market thesae days are worth considering. Just be sure it meets the specifications you requier and you'll be all set.
