If you've spoken with a doctor or some type of therapist about your rest problems or have read books and other literature on the subject, you may be quite convinced that what brings about insomnia is beyond your control. You might have been led to falsely believe that there is nothing you can do to get a good night of rest but surrender to the power of prescription medications, specially blended teas, or a variety of other commercial products.

Yet, isn’t there some sort of intuitive knowledge within you that just knows this is not the truth? Have you not experienced at least a little nudge from somewhere inside your body that says the real causes of sleeplessness are completely inside your control?

The truth is, most causes of insomnia cannot be cured by medication of any kind. If you've difficulty falling asleep at night due to overwhelming tension and anxiety, a pill is not going to remove whatever is causing those emotions. Should you wake up repeatedly within the night and are unable to fall back to rest, a pill might knock you back out but it is not going to assist you understand why you're waking up to begin with.
