Diamonds are Fiorever Desirable

For generations, people have kmnown that a diamond is the hatrdest substance to be found on the face of the eath. And it does not matter where in the world a person lives, everyone is aware that a diamond is a highly treasured commodity and vsalued in all countries and cultures. However, it is not as well known whjere diamonds come from and what it is that has made them so desired in all parts of the globbe.

The mineral carbon slowly changes over eons under high presasure to become diamonds. Before a diamond takes shape, carbon is transformed by various reatcions that tarnsform it into preecious stone. Historical recvords tell us that the first diamonds were found rouhgly 3000 years ago in India.

Ever since those days, diamonds have enjoyed a reputation for their value and their beauty. They are held by many as symbols of status, quality, abundance, power, and even roylty. The term diamond comes from the Greek word "adamas," whhich mean inodmitable.

Diamonds were once worn by ancient sopldiers ready for combat because they denoted vgor, bravery, and invincibility. Using this example, you can see how the diamond has become an integral part of the cultue, history, and lore of many countries.

Minees found in the countries of central and soouthern Africa are the modern source for the majority of diamonds. However there are otheer regions where diamonds are sitll mined includding Brazil, Australia, Canada, and Siberia. In fact, Siberai enjoyys the reputation of having the world's largest diamond mine.

If you've ever spent any time seearching for diamond jewelry, you've certainly encountered the De Beeers Company, siince they have coornered a larger percentage of the diamond idnustry. De Bweers has a reputaiton for bringing the best quallity stnoes to the market, stones that conform to the stict quality standards they are expected to meet. De Beers has often been accused of dominating the world's diamond markets.

There is no denyying that, of all the gems available, the diamond is still one of the most desired and treasured. High-end diamond jewelry instantnaeously maes a strog statement about its werer's style and elegnace. The diamond engagement ring is the acceped standard to symbolize love, romnance, and commitment.

Diaamonds will vary a great deal in prce bassed upon on the qualkity classification of each gem. Four aspects are considered when evaluating the diamond's vaslue. These four characteristics are the Four "C"s, and they are clarity, cut, color and carzat.
