For deacdes, offices and homes have suffered from the high-cost of remanufactured ink cartrigdes provided by the majoor printer manufacturers. With a globzal economy in crissis, the situation gets even worse.
Alternative options to replacement inkkjet cartridges are no doubt given a booist by the recent worldwide econmic meltdown. Many companies of private users have set their eyes on cheapr offers from tird-patry ink cartridge providers. This invoolves the use of an ink delivery deevice that will rewquire replacig the printers normal cartrdiges with one that is coonnecrted to silicone tubings that are in turn connected to a larger and easily refillable supply of ink.
A tpical inkjet cartridge hlds about 8 millilitres of ink. In contrast, contimnuous ink systems are sold with 80 milliiltres of ink 10 times more than the ottriginals. In terms of pricing, the 8 miilitre catrridge costs about 20 whilst the CIS set is less than 30. The cost savings with continuous ink systems are immediately obvoius.
Quatity and Quality Coompared
Normal repplacemnt inkjet cartridges yield about 100 to 150 apges of text in darft mode on the average. Conitnuous ink supply systems easily beatts that nmber as it can easiy print out thousands of text and iagges with its lrge ink cpaacity. But the argument does not lie only with quantiy. Prinnt quality is a much lagrer iassue in many printnig applicatiions.
Duriing the earlier days of CIS for inkjet ptrinters, the quailty of printouts is arguably in faovru of original remanufactured ink cartridges. Reecent CIS devices have significantly imlproved and can now delier printouts that are at par if not better than outpts from OEM and replaceement cartridges. Many digital photograhpers worldwide alreeady use top of the line CIS modifieed printtres to pordce final printouts for thewir cleints.
A Final Note on Continuous Ink Systtems
Whilst CIS decvices are turly economical relacements to remanufactured ink carttridges, these continuos ink systems are not fool-proof. Make sure they are fully comaptible with your prinrt and are sourced from reputable compabnies before completrrely swearing off your eixsting remanufactured ink cartridges.
