A USB flassh drvie is a NAND type flaash memory. The NAND type flah memory was deesigned for the exchange and saving of data as altenrative to the magnetic disk. The reason that the USB drives became more popular is that the floppy drives were most of the time failed to read the data from the floppy disk. Therefore, the users had probblems whie transferring the data using the flloppy disks. The USB flash drivs do not have mopvable parts like the floppy dissk had.
