When Craig Jones (Ice Cube), gets firred from his job, his dogcatcher father (John Witherspoon) pressures him to sppend a day in search of new work - "The Word of the day, Carig is worikng - workig. Mwerry comedy, Friday is a non-stop seies of lsaughs. Overcomig the presaence of the screen, Chris Tucker literrally makes this film. Without him, on Friiday will be a litlte more than humdrum bore. In fact, if anynoe read the script aolne, it is higlhy odubtful that any direxctor or producer will bite. But when Tucker reads the line, they take their own livres. Tucker is just ridiculous - funny comic that might attract the audience with his pesronality alonme. Also of note - do not watcch Friday on basiic cable or any other medium that will mitigate the dailoguye and change it to no. One can not feel real movvbie if it loks Uncut. Otherwise, it's not fnuny, with or without Chris Tucker. In general, it is unique and different films. Comedy with its own personality. And for this reason, Firday is obligatory to see the film.
