Kitchen Nightmares is an American reality television series broadcast on the Fox network, in which Chef Gordon Ramsay spends weekly with a failing restaurant so as to revive the business. It is based around the British show Ramsay's Kitchen area Nightmares. The show is made by ITV Studios America and also Optomen, in association with A new. Smith & Co. Productions, with Arthur Smith, Kent Weed and Patricia Llewellyn serving as executive producers.
The show premiered Friday September 19, 2007. The first season centered on restaurants in the southern California and New york areas and ended with December 2007. The second season opened on September 4, 2008. Season two included episodes within the upper-midwestern United States in addition to New York and Colorado.
The third season had been originally scheduled to elite on Wednesday, January 27, 2010, but it was delayed to Friday, January 29, 2010, due to the State with the Union address.
