Who does not want to have some designer fashion apparel in their closet? Of course, there will always be some people who may not see the point of having designer wear for a number of reasons. Some think that designer clothes are evil signs of materialism and consumerism that show society's moral defects. There are also some people who feel that it is a social sin to wear expensive clothes when there are poor people in other parts of the world who cannot even afford to eat thrice a day. Alas, there are people who feel that buying branded wear is a waste of money, because there are clothes that are do not cost too high and have passable quality and design. They conclude that money spent on designer clothes can be spent on other worthwhile things.

But then, those who are on the side of designer clothes also have a good number of valid points why their preference makes sense. Buying designer clothes is not really some pointless exercise in spending hard-earned money. For them, there are actually a good number of factors that justify the act of purchasing designer clothes.

There are a number of people who prefer designer fashion apparel because they want others to know that they can afford and therefore, wear these kinds of clothes. For them, it is an unabashed sign of their financial and social standing. The high regard and second glances they get from other people gives them immense satisfaction. Be it admiration or envy, they seem to flourish from it. Alas, they also feel the need to break away and set themselves apart from the masses.

For some, there is a different feeling that designer clothes bring to them. They feel more special, since they think that they are wearing special clothes. When their clothes are not just designer, but also in tune with the trend, people get a boost of confident. Also, they feel that designer clothes fit better on them, so they may feel more attractive. Who does not want their clothes to give them additional appeal?

While it is not always the case that designer fashion apparel is made with the highest standards used, this may be the norm in most cases. Because of the expensive tag on their clothes, designers can afford to use materials that add more value to their clothes, making them all the more expensive. With the added costs come more unique designs and better, more durable material.

But then, people who own designer fashion apparel often console themselves by believing that their clothes last for years. Moreover, there are close to zero chances that people in designer garb will see themselves in a room with someone wearing the same thing. Whether in parties or other social occasions, wearing designer clothes avoids embarrassing situations like people wearing identical outfits. After all, the quantity of designer clothes are way lesser compared to mass produced RTW attire.
