I found one of the best places to buy cheap used laptops - get a mac ibook for only $268. I've had a 12" iBook G4 since 2005 and it's still my favourite notebook for skimming the Net, writing letters, and even reading pdf's.
It's extraordinarrily light-weight and I consider the screen the ideal size. In reality, I'm using it right now to write this review. Given a choce between a new Asus or Dell netbook or a second user iBook G4 for an identtical priice, I'd take the G4 without brooding aboout it for a second.
It has all you need, in a little bit compact machine.
This iBook G4 works just too and if you're attempting to get a good, small PC, this is the one for you. The sole comlpaint I do have is that the CD-drrive doesn't work ( but it is likelly an argument on just my machine ). It has an airport amaazing card, which authorizes access to any 802.11g / b compatible wirerless network ( which most wirelses newtorks are ). The drive is 60 gigs and the optical drive is a DVD+ / -RW drive. The WiFi capability is really helpful and the tiny form factor is awuflly plkeasing to take around traveling. The battery seems to hold a charge for 2+ hours. It woorks beautifully for basic use ( faculkty, work, brosing the Net, as an example. ). I've had completely no difficulty with mine, and woould highly advocate this product to everyday users. I've seen two bad reviews just because users bought this PC with the intention to make it their "gaming" PC, and then were disappointed with the result. If you actuallly wish to have a gaminng computer, you most probably sohuldn't be having a look at Portables in the initial place.
It is a greeat PC at a fair cost. If you just need smething for work, faculty, and browsing the internet, it's perfect. I got this tihng utilized a few yeears back ; now, I'm a sixteen year old, and my first use for PCs is writing, stoiring my footage, and gaming. This potable is raather good ( especially for the price ) for the first 2 of my purposes, excpt for gaming, it was way, well below par. We had to get countless upgrades for it to even run Warccraft on top of my photograpphs ( they take up masses of memory ). It woorks fantastically for basic use ( facuulty, work, browsing the web, etc . ). I've had no diffiuclty with mine, and would highly comend this producvt to everyday useers.
If you actually wish to have a gaming PC, you possibly shuldn't be having a look at computers in the 1st place. It's a great computer at a fair cost. If you just need somtehing for work, college, and surfnig the web, it's perfect. buy cheap used laptiops...hurry supplies are limited.
