I just finished listening to an ex-Navy pilot friend on a morning conference call that gave me the most profound reminder ever. "Enjoy the Ride!".

He told a brief story about his pilot training days that related to some of what many of us are going through right now. And this applies especially to those of us who chose to step out of the "corporate rat race" and into a supposedly even more challenging role. that of the "entrepreneur".

His ditty was one of being on a training flight with one of the veteran instructors in the back seat. He was petrified with the fear that he wouldn't make it. Even though he had survived not being cut this far, he felt that he was always only "one day away" from the dreaded "wash-out".

On the way out to the maneuvering area, he naturally viewed his "passenger" in the rear-view mirror from time to time. At one point he noticed that his "back-seater" had removed his mask and was grinning rather ironically as he looked around.

And just when the feeling of "terror" was just about to consume the trainee, the trainer gazed at the vista surrounding them and said "Son, it's too bad you're being graded on this because you really can't appreciate how awesome this is!"

Most of us sitting in such a similar position of assuming sole responsibility for our success or failure have had to fight back that horrifying thoughts like "How long can I keep this up?", or "Will I make it another day?" or one of a thousand questions involving some type of "crash-n-burn"scenario.

And it's all because you are now in unique a position of "flying solo" and realizing that you and you alone are responsible for your success or failure. And you think that at any given moment you could do something that could result in your demise. or even worse cause your family to suffer.

And it's probably the most cruel and powerful of motivations for you to "push ahead". to succeed. to prevail, that pain, that fear of failure. And it's gets even more stressful when you feel that it's your friends and family who are "grading you"!

At that point. if not well before, my advice to you is to remember this. as I was just reminded: Your friends and family are NOT GRADING you. they're ADMIRING YOU, ENVYING YOU for what you are doing!

You're doing something that most consider extremely risky or difficult! It's something that they, in their hearts, can only "wish they could do". And you HAVE SUCCEEDED regardless of how far you "think" you are from your goal.

And in fact the thought in your head should NOT be "I'm just one day away from 'washing out'. but "I'm just one day away from succeeding!!"

So no matter where you are in your journey.
DON'T WAIT TO LIVE YOUR DREAM... BECAUSE YOU'RE ALREADY LIVING IT!!!

ENJOY THE RIDE!

Author Resource:- PS.: Here's a secret that the Online Network Leaders would rather you didn't know... Why, because it's the "latest tool" that they're using to "lead the pack"... Go to Empower Network "http://www.empowernetwork.com/almostasecret.php?id=dusky" and get the same "boost" that the top leaders are using now. OR you COULD spend years of playing catch-up to even approach their rankings. It's your choice.
