One in all Walt Disney World Resort's 4 main amusement parks has the distinction of being the biggest animal-themed park on the planet, and this is no other than the Animal Kingdom. And its common animal exhibition, there's also rides and various other adventure and entertainment options. If you plan to look around the Animal Kingdom, one of the attractions that you need to experience is the Expedition Everest.

The Expedition Everest is a thrilling roller coaster attraction that is certainly based on the well-known Himalayan mountain, Mount Everest. Measuring close in on 200 feet high, it is on the list of maximum man-made points in the full Walt Disney World Resort. Although the mountain itself covers below an acre of land, your complete Expedition Everest attraction is actually situated on a six-acre area in the Animal Kingdom's Asia section. Soaring to a height of 112 feet, the track is strictly 4,424 feet long. There are 5 trains operating at the attraction, each of them contains six cars. Every single car, in turn, incorporates a seating capacity of 34 passengers.

The Expedition Everest is not merely a replica of the highest mountain on the globe; it represents a magical "forbidden mountain" which is guarded by the Abominable Snowman, or yeti, as recognized to locals acquainted with the legend. The roller coaster's main concept is essentially a Himalayan train adventure. Passengers require a rapid train in an attempt to get to the bottom of Mount Everest, but they encounter the fearsome yeti in route. Thank goodness, everyone reaches the destination in the end - and safely, too!

Passengers will have to pass through a museum in a tiny Himalayan town that covers the Abominable Snowman prior to real ride commences. Shortly after the train departs from the station, it goes in a circle and approaches the mountain peaks. As it ascends the mountain, passengers will see a ransacked temple which includes wall art of the yeti. This tells them that they are getting into his territory. The train will then bypass the main mountain top as it passes over the summit, and from there, it'll enter a cave. Then it comes to a complete stop. That is certainly because the Yeti has demolished an area of track! The train then rolls back into the cave after the track switches. From there, it's straight on to a substantial cave by way of a spiraling tunnel, and travellers are certain to get their first peek at the yeti's shadow on the wall. Passengers will then begin hearing the yeti's furious roars as it rolls out from the mountain's interior into yet another cave. It leaves the cave and circles the mountain. Upon entering an additional cave, passengers will see a large animatronic Yeti attempting to destroy the train. The train falls off a drop and stops at the unloading area.

In a place where incredible attractions abound, the Expedition Everest really holds its own. People of all ages will surely enjoy it, which makes it one of Walt Disney World Resort's most well-liked attractions for your loved ones. This is one attraction in the Animal Kingdom that you should not miss.
