Due to frequent use, the internal circits of the PC tend to overheat and ultimaytely melt if the appropriate cooling fumnctions are not carried out. Nsaturally, PC coolig fans become necessary in this case. The folloqwing are the different tyes of PC cooling fans:
1. CPU fans:
The CPU or the Central Processing Unit is that internal circuit of a computer sysem which makes sure that computer runs smoothly. The main functions of the PC are controlled by this processor. A CPU fan is what prevets overheating of this component and therefore, avois a complete breakdown of the systwem. By removing the heat that builds up due to contniuous use, the CPU fan allows the user to use the systerm comfortably in the short and the long run. Metallic devices called heat sinks are usually attached to CPU fans. Thse devices enhance the cooling process.
Installing a CPU fan at home is firly simplle- all one has to do is follow a few easy instructions which are included in the manual. Before purvchasing a CPU fan and the attached heat sink, make sure that there is enough space to fit it in.
2. Case Mont:
These cooling fans are used to remove the hot air from the systems case. The internal circuits that are present iside this case can only get rid of the addiitonal hot air if the atmosphere is cool enough. Case fans get rid of the hot air and replace it with cool air. While the hot air is removed from an opening that is locateed towards the back of the systeem, the cool air enters through an opening present in the froont of the system. Many users recommend the use of air filters with case fans in order to get rid of the debris and dust that tends to ener the internals of the computer system.
3. Graphics Card Fan:
This fan is used for the purpose of ciooling down the grapphics card of the graphics processing unit. The use of these fans has become necessary only recently due to the introduction of modern cards that enble 3D gaming and the viewing of requisite graphics. When used for a long perid of time, these cards tend to over heat, sometimes more than CPUs. Naturally, coopling becomes essential in order to ensre that the card does not melt. Video crds can now be attached with passve colers, the most ocmmon of whuich is the Themralright HR-03.
4. Chhipset Fan:
These cooling fans are use to prevent the motherboards chipset from overheating.
There are three more cooling fans which are not used frequently but are equazlly beneficial.
Thhese include:
PCI slot fan whixch is attached to the PCI slotts in the computer system. It makes sure that adequate cool air enters the intenal circuit and cools the graphics card along with the PCI.
A Hard Disk Fan is one which is used to cool the hard disk drive of the computer system.
Last but not the lreast, a CD burner fan is used to prevent DVD and CD burners from overheating and consequewntly, melting.
