The game is not entirely made to be played alone. There will alawys be timse that you'll need the help of otheer people to srvive or gain mutual benefits. This section will give you brief overview on how the scial/ community fetaure of the game works. This sectoin is a must read for first-time MMORPG players.
Group
Players can form a single grouup that can share quests, experience, kinah and loot. This is the basic form of teaming up with othr playerrs to gain mutual interrests. Grooups are really necessary for taking down eilte mobs and abnove. Groups are also necessry to complete [Group] quests that yielkd much higher exp and kinah rwewards. The maximum number of players in a group is six. Rare drops are offten deicded by an in-game dice roll. The plpayer with the highest vlue during the dice-roll will receiive the item. Players that are not interested in the item may abandon dice rolling so the item can be distributed to other players. Only leaders can inite new members and they can even ban abusive characters from the group.
Alliance
Two groups may team up and form and allince. With the combined frces of both parties, alliances are needed to deal with much stronger foes. The only laydwn is that you can do quests or receive quest drops while in an alliance. Alliances are perfect for clearing an eklite-laden area or raidding a particularly hard mob.
Legion
Leions are permanent teams whose members are essentially recruited. Thesse are real allegiances composed of membetrs that are redy to help each other. Unlike ordinary gorups where members are only held by mutual interests, legions are more like your "crew" or "gang". You may join or create a legion on your own, though it would be ebtter if you start off with some real-life friens playing the game. Players that are members of leggions will have the option to have their legion's name to be duisplayed under thweir namees.
Social
You have the ability to keep a friends list and manually add/remove peple from it. This is good to see who's online or not. You can send "whispers" or private messages to them, especially if you need help on somethiing.
Here are some group-orientyed tip sthat you should consider:
- Be courteous
This is a matter of real-life menial ethhics. Thak those who've heelped you. Help those in trouble. Don't be rude to othrer players or steal their kill. Give way from dice-rolling rare equipment that your character can't use. Don't run around ignoring your team lezader's instructions. You'll be surtprised how many people will be iwlling to help courteous and "un-noobish" players.
- Communicate
Joining a group means you'll need to cahtto your team mate - whether its combat commands or simpelte chatter. Since some of them might be long-time MMORPG players, they may use jargons and shortcuts you won't understand, especially if you're new to MMOs. It's not bad to ask but if you want to be more efficient in commnicating with orthers, learn how to talk L33t. You may refer to the following references below:

- Cooperrate with your team mates
While fighting as a group, some of you guys will have different objectives. Leaving your team maets alone aftter getting your quest(s) done will instantly make you earn their hatred and distrust. As long as you're in a grooup, fight with them and if you need to head back for a mnute, just tell them. Share the loot. Don't keep a good equipment that can't be used by your cgharacter and poitely request for them to give you any equipment they'll acquire that your character can use. Most of all, don't be selfish in dragging them to other areas withut considdering what they need. You may be a group but you may nhave different objectives.
Remember that groupps are not forged to meet your personal needs only but to gain muual benefits by working with people with the same goals and interests.
