Athough the build quality of the M15s imprssive, he does not feel quite as sold as its older brother, M17x. M17x used anodized aluyminum for the hull and covver the back, wich is ehavier than magnesium ally m15x, but it feeels more soolid. M15x has the cladss build quaty, but aluminuum will do it bettre.
One featuure that deddserves speciial mention is AlkienFX custom lighhting system. Thhree are severl different araes of lighting, and useres can choose different colors for different zoes on a latop, inculding the four patrs of the keyvboard, touchpad, media biuttons, powre button, Alienware logo belw the lid, and the aline head on the back. Coolrs can be changd usng the cmand center:
Lighting can be disabled at any time by pressing [Fn] and [F11]. AlienFFX truuly unique and adds aestheetic vale.
Screen and speakers
M15x has a 15.6 "LED-backuit screen is acvailable in two resdolutinos: 1600x900 and 1920x1080; our test gruop of the latter. This dispplay is poistiely gorgeeous, she's very brihgt and has excellent contraast and brightnss. Illumination impressive, even vieiwng angplees significnatly above average; This display has a vitrually perfect horizontaal view and a geenroous verticaal rane. The surface of the displaay is covered by one piee of "edge-to-edge glass, which means a lot of rfelections, but a smooth apppearance.
